If a package were to be delivered in five days starting on Friday how would weekends affect shipping time?
Weekends are not counted as shipping days. Your package would arrive on the following Friday.

Using UPS WorldShip®, we send out return labels with many of our shipments. We get e-mail notifications when we produce the label – but do not really need these. Instead, we need a notification when the package is on its way to us. What would you recommend?
Quantum View® Manage (QVM) is the way to go. Using QVM, you can easily see all the packages being returned to you. Plus, we recently enhanced the “returns window” for Quantum View Manage. You can now view 120 days from when the label was generated (this was previously 45 days).

I need to ship two quarts of chocolate milk from Oregon to Northern California. Aside from sealing each plastic bottle in a Ziploc bag to prevent leakage and putting ice in freezer Ziploc bags to keep them cool, is there anything else I should do to ship successfully using UPS Next Day Air®?
That must be some really good chocolate milk. You could ship them in an insulated cooler or shipper available from packaging distributors with a little dry ice … but that’s typically only for the pros. Dry ice should not be in direct contact with the liquid and on no account use more than 5 pounds of it. If “pro” doesn’t describe you, then allow lots of packaging, in a very sturdy outer container with gel packs or contained water ice. You can view our packaging advisor. Also, don’t ship it on a Friday unless you specify Saturday delivery. The other option is to consult the shipping professionals at any location of The UPS Store®.
