Archive for imaging

These files are somewhat technical but if you have a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator you will find them useful and fun.

Celebrating 100 Posts: Graphic Give-A-Way from eCommerce Developer

“For the past year, I’ve been producing Photoshop and Illustrator video tutorials for Ecommerce Developer. For my 100th post (this one), I wanted to do something a little different: offer some free files for you to use in web design projects.

These files are all available for commercial use for free under the creative commons license. Attribution is not necessary, but is welcome.

In these collections, you will find pricing comparison tables, web boxes, swatches, an icon set, vector elements and various other web elements. Most of these are available in both Photoshop and Illustrator, with just a few exceptions.

Each of these designs has been created in a way that allows you to easily change the color scheme to best fit your theme. I will briefly explain how to do this in the accompanying video.”

Digital Imaging FREE Software – VOLBC2

Posted by: | Comments (2)

In developing your eBay business one of the most critical areas is digital imaging.  There are some great and expensive software packages, such as Adobe Photoshop, available.   I have PhotoShop and love it for use in hobby activities.  I thought I would use Photoshop in my eBay activities then learned that there are useful FREE programs available for almost all of my eBay activities.

The very high end software and hardware can product great results; if you devote a lot of time to self education and practice.  If you are busy with life in and outside eBayland and do not have the time to devote to learning these programs or do not want to spend the amount of money required check the programs that follow.  Look around the Internet and you will find these and other Free programs to provide you with excellent images representing the item you want to sell.  If you spend a small amount of money you can join groups like Virtual Online Learning (VOL) and get an extensive amount of training, advice and support in using these programs – all you have to do is ask.

My favorite is Picasa

Picasa is a Google service that does just about anything you can hope for in digital imaging management and now they have added video to the services.

Next is Aviary

Aviary is much more complex but well worth checking/  Aviary is a suite of powerful creative applications that you can use right in your web browser, nothing to download just sign up and get to work.   Their stated mission to make creation accessible to artists of all genres, from graphic design to audio editing.

You can click here to sign up for an account and start doing incredible things with images. Free services, training etc.  Not as easy as Picas but a lot of fun.

A Free Photo Editing Site
Picnik
I am overloaded with imaging editors, but thought you may want to try this. It looks good, free, and Google apparently just bought it. Of course there are options to purchase upgrades.
Have Fun,
